THE PERFECT CIRCLE is made up of four separate stories. The first, "Her Real Name" is divided into five parts, and frames the entire piece. A young man, running from a fiance and child in the big city, picks up a teenage female hitch-hiker who proceeds to change his life through her innocence and courage. The second. "Ducks", is a married couple desperately desperately trying to salvage their stagnant relationship. Thirdly is "Opened", where a young waitress is inexplicably drawn to an attractive customer. Finally, in "A Perfect Circle", a man faces up to the mortality of his ageing father, who is hospitalised with a terminal illness.
